Dalmatian Klapa Singing Tour will open the door to the world of a cappella singing, Festival of Dalmatian klapa and traditional Dalmatian lifestyle in the environment of konoba (Dalmatian tavern)

Enjoy authentic Dalmatia and step into the world of Dalmatian traditional singing. In honour of this remarkable tradition, UNESCO inscribed klapa singing on its list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2012. There are several festivals but the Festival of the Dalmatian Klapa in Omiš is considered to be one of the most important cultural events in Croatia. In the past, after a hard day’s work friends would meet in konoba and a song would start to flow. They sang for the sheer joy of singing about love, sea, homeland and wine.
Learn about the history of klapa singing, how did it all start in Omis more than 50 years ago on the permanent exhibition of the Festival, visit square where the festival is held each year, the Festival’s house from 16. C. and most of all feel the joy of tasting traditional Dalmatian snack as klapa singers did gathering in the evenings at konoba.

Dalmatian snack includes: Walnut brandy, Dalmatian prosciutto and cheese, salt anchovies with onion, olive oil, bread and glass of wine
