The park and garden architecture is part of the identity of the city of Osijek with a 314-year long tradition. In the beginning, there were tree alleys along the access roads. Afterwards, the parks were starting to emerge in the order to integrate the city’s historic urban areas with the most valuable architectural heritage – Tvrđa, the Upper Town and the Lower Town into one unit.
