Thanks to its geographical position and vibrant past, Omiš is not a typical Dalmatian town. The town is located at the foot of the mighty Dalmatian hills and the magnificent canyon of the particularly beautiful Cetina River. It flows into the Adriatic Sea in the very center of the town.
The Cetina River has witnessed the turbulent history of the town of Omiš for two millennia, ever since the time when it was populated by its ancient inhabitants, the Onastines. It is an inexhaustible source of stories, but also of a unique natural environment. Omiš takes away the breath of anyone who sets foot there for the first time and continues to inspire them with its magnificent beauty every time.
On a boat ride along the river, we will discover the memories that the Cetina keeps in the silence of still untold stories, as well as the secret world of nature in the canyon.
The Hidden Voice of the Cetina River begins in Omiš at the boat mooring with a view of the picturesque town center. Then follows boarding the boat and a forty-minute ride through the canyon. The ride ends at the site of the former Radman family mill, now a famous excursion destination. After a short tour and a story about the Radman family, we take a break with a glass of wine, homemade bread, prosciutto and cheese. On the return trip, we have the opportunity to enjoy the flavors of the stories and experiences we have just discovered.
